Your first Sunday
What to expect when you visit
Walking into a new church can feel like a big step. Here's what a Sunday at Gospel Light looks like.
Bible preaching
Clear, practical preaching straight from the Bible that you can take home and live out.
Traditional music
Hymns and special music, often from our own church family, young people included.
Room for the whole family
Children are welcome here, and you'll see them serving right alongside the adults.
A warm welcome
Someone will be glad to say hello, help you find a seat, and answer any questions.
Life at Gospel Light
A church family that's growing
We love seeing God at work here: people trusting Christ as Savior, believers following the Lord in baptism, new families finding a church home, and young people learning to serve. We'd love for you to be part of it.
Our story
A young church with an old-fashioned message
Gospel Light Baptist Church opened its doors on August 1, 2021, as a new independent Baptist church in Lafayette. Under the leadership of Pastor Jake Weido, it has grown into a church family that loves God's Word, loves one another, and loves our city.
We still believe the Gospel changes lives, because we keep watching it happen.
The most important question
Do you know for sure that you would go to Heaven?
The Bible says you can know. It takes just a few minutes to see what God's Word says about it.
